Quinoa — pronounced keen-wa — could best be described as a “small, but mighty” nutritional giant.
The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations has declared quinoa as a food with “high nutritive value.” Research has shown this food to contain concentrated amounts of beneficial flavonoids that protect cells and help prevent inflammation in the body. Quinoa is also good source of manganese, copper, magnesium, and fiber.
Prepare it according to package instructions and mix it in with your pet’s next meal for a nutritional “extra.”
