Here’s a great biscuit recipe:

Ingredients:

1 pound (0.5 kg) flour-whole wheat, buckwheat, millet, brown rice or other
2 teaspoons (10 ml) salt
1 quart (1 L) water
2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey or molasses
2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil

Directions:

Mix flour and salt in large bowl. Set aside. Mix honey with water. Mix water mixture into flour mixture. Stir well until flour is moist. Dough should be fairly dry. Leave bowl in warm place to rise for 15 minutes. Make hole in center, add olive oil. Work oil into dough. Leave bowl in warm place for 30 minutes to rise again. Sprinkle cookie sheet with dry flour. Spoon dough on to cookie sheet and press flat. (Also works to shape into bone shapes with a cookie cutter.) Bake in 350F oven 30-45 minutes until slightly browned. Cool in cookie rack. Biscuits should be hard and crunchy.

Happy holidays from our family to yours!!
