There’s a can of worms. Usually bones from the table are cooked. There are some dogs who will eat them and have bits of bone go through their intestines, slice their intestines and cause horrible pain, if not death. Chicken bones are notorious for this and for this reason, we really do not advise bones from the table.

Now you will hear stories of dogs who do just fine. You will hear stories of dogs eating chicken bones their entire lives, even cooked ones. If the bone is bigger and the dog is smart and gnaws on the bone, maybe a T bone, it can work for some. Raw bones, on the other hand can work well for some dog parents, particularly raw chicken.

Until you know how your dog will act, the safe answer is, it is not safe. Even for dogs who eat bones all the time, there is always risk.
