n my view of the world, it is not acceptable to blame hair loss on a breed, unless we’re talking Chinese Crested dogs. Boxers should have a full coat of hair, like anyone else. If the hair loss is seasonal, what goes along with seasonal changes? Is your dog intact? There is a hormone associated hair-loss. Fleas, and hay fever are seasonal. Fleas have been horrible the last 2-3 years in the Midwest – we’ve not had really cold winters to kill the critters off. Hay fever – depends on what’s blooming when to know which allergy it could be. Think about blood testing for hay fever allergies. Blood tests are inaccurate for food allergies, but quite good at detecting hay fever allergens. Boxers should have gorgeous hair coats from end to end.
